“In this aspect of my work, I’ve been guided by the work of the
geographer Steven Flusty, who’s identified a range of “characteristics…
introduced into urban spaces to make them repellent to the public.” He
gave each of the five situations he listed particularly evocative names:
stealthy spaces “cannot be found”
slippery spaces “cannot be reached”
crusty spaces “cannot be accessed”
prickly spaces “cannot be occupied comfortably”
jittery spaces “cannot be utilized unobserved” “ ”

thought for the day…
Thanks to Doug Wilson for this..
As Dave Hickey writes in his book Air Guitar:
I still endorse Peter Schjeldahl’s advice on how to become an artist: ‘You move to a city. You hang out in bars. You form a gang, turn it into a scene, and turn that into a movement.’ Then, I would suggest, when your movement hits the museum, abandon it.

labyrinth, dublin style..

Come one come all to the prosocialrulebreaking club event where we will play a big outdoor game.
Meet us on the steps of Eden Restaurant in Temple Bar, bring some small stones if you can. No, we won’t be throwing them at anyone. Well, unless we decide to re-enact the bible at any point but that’s unlikely.
Bring friends, lovers, enemies. It’s pretty much all ages but people under twelve must be accompanied by an adult and smallies might get hurt.
3pm!! Saturday the 14th April.
Don’t be late!!
We’re not waiting to play.
See you there!!
